Imperial Metals Corporation is a Vancouver-based copper and gold producer that has explored and developed mines in British Columbia since 1959. Its principal assets are a 30% joint-venture interest in the Red Chris copper-gold mine in northwestern BC (operated by Newmont and advancing a major block-cave expansion that will receive $500 million in Government of Canada support), the wholly-owned Mount Polley copper-gold mine near Likely, BC, and the wholly-owned Huckleberry copper mine, currently on care and maintenance. The company also holds a portfolio of exploration properties including Whiting Creek, Ruddock Creek, Sustut and Fandora. Over the past 35 years Imperial's mines have produced more than 2.7 billion pounds of copper and 1.7 million ounces of gold. The company is led by President Brian Kynoch, P.Eng.
